Welcome to the wonderful world of caddy camp

  

CADDY stands for CIRCUS, ART, DANCE, DRAMA and YOGA and is a place where children come to be heard and celebrated. 

CADDY Camp is committed to a deep respect of children through the wondrous celebration of childhood. As a creative arts camp it offers many innovative experiences for children to learn how to tap into their creativity while getting to know themselves, and others. It’s through the creative arts that children can find, and express, their authentic voices. Both the creative process as well as creative expression, allow children the opportunity to gain a sense of accomplishment and a feeling of success, which promotes positive self-esteem. The focus at CADDY Camp is on fostering the process rather than the outcome. 

Caddy Camp is founded on the simple yet profound principle that given the right environment and support, and encouragement all children can reach their full potential and embrace their lives with more courage and joy. 

Play is a big part of the camp experience because it is felt that play is the work of children and it is how they learn best. Each unique day at Caddy Camp includes very fun, challenging and exciting activities, which draw from a wide range of artistic disciplines including circus, art, dance, drama and music. A Caddy Camp day could be filled with storytelling, creative dance, puppetry, improv exercises, juggling scarves, balancing peacock feathers, spinning diablos, and so much more....,  

Caddy Camp is also infused with, and inspired by, yogaand it’s valuable principles of harmony, balance and holistic health. Children reap many benefits from being exposed to and practicing Yoga, including focus and flexibility both physically and mentally. 

At CADDY Camp, through the inspiration of yoga, children learn very important life skills, like how to be calm as well as how to deal with frustration and anxiety. As a system of body and mind exercises, yoga can help promote physical, social, emotional as well as spiritual development. 

At CADDY Camp children learn these very valuable exercises, including calming and relaxation techniques, that they can in turn use in their daily lives helping them be more compassionate to themselves and others.  Through breath awareness, they can learn how to self-modulate their energy, which helps them outside of CADDY Camp in both their school and home environments.

In addition, these experiences can help young people develop a more positive body image, as well as the ability to concentrate for longer periods of time. 

Based on the philosophy that given a safe and nurturing environment children can succeed, Caddy Camp’s skilled staff creates an inspiring environment where young people are supported to develop a more empowered sense of self. They are encouraged to try new things and experience the wonderful benefits ofrisk-taking.  

Through nurturing children's imaginations new pathways for learning can be created to foster individuality as well as encourage dynamic group experiences.  Caddy Camp is a multi-aged camp with campers, 6-11 and with all the children sharing their experiences together. This is based on the educational philosophy that kids reap many benefits in multi-aged grouping.  CADDY Camp also has a very successful mentorship program and the mentors are 12-16. Beautiful things happen when older children encourage and mentor younger ones

Above all CADDY CAMP is a fantastically fun way for kids to express themselves, make new friends and be heard with respect.
