On these pages you will find many things, including: the latest in cognitive neuroscience research and the way it relates to the field of education and kids yoga and mindfulness, evidence-based classroom pedagogy, the best practices of mindful education, along with my own professional anecdotes from my work with both with children and educators
My experience in the field of education began in the traditional route of the early childhood classroom and then veered off into a less traditional route as a kids’ yoga instructor and a creative arts and yoga camp founder and director.
Based on my work with children, I developed mindful education programming for educators. What my experience with children and adults has taught me is that education is about people, first and foremost. Yes, curriculum and content are very important, but we can’t lose sight of the fact that education is a human process, a personal process and at its heart is the process of teaching and learning between people.
So enjoy my musings about all of the above!
